made exclusively by Infiniti Reeds
At Infiniti Reeds each reed is carefully crafted. Our tube cane is hand selected, split, clipped, pre-gouged, gouged, and shaped by our reed maker.
Each piece of cane is prepared on two machines: a planer and a gouger. Each piece of cane is hand measured and must meet our strict specifications before the scraping process.
Once the blank is prepared the reed is scraped by hand. Each reed must meet our strict specifications before sale. Each reed is tested during the process to insure proper vibration, resistance, balance, dynamic range, tone quality, and stable intonation. A stabilization period of three days is required for each reed.

Student-Pro Reeds
Student-Pro Reeds are desiged with the student oboist in mind. These reeds are of high quality and an upgrade from most student reeds available on the market. These reeds are comparable to the Pro-line reeds but are available in four strengths:
Soft: Recommended for beginning oboists, easy vibration allows for immediate response without biting on the reed.
Medium-soft: Recommended for middle school oboists, easy vibration and made to play in tune.
Medium: Recommended for high school or advanced players, more resistance for mature embouchures and allows for greater dynamic range and projection. Great for practice and performances.
Medium-hard: Recommended for advanced players, more resistance for mature embouchures, full dynamic range, concert hall projection.
Pro-Line Oboe Reeds
Professional oboe reeds prepared to the reed maker's own personal specifications. Perfectly balanced for performances, our exclusive Pro-Line reeds are prepared with the highest standards. Great for auditions, performances, concerts, recitals, or individual practice and rehearsals.

Our cane is processed 'in house' and each reed is prepared by hand.
Since our reeds are made to order, please allow 5-10 days for delivery.
For rush deliveries, please inquire by email for availability by indicating the date you wish to receive your reed order. You will be notified by email if we can deliver by the date indicated or give you an approximate date of arrival. Please note most reed orders will arrive in 5-7 days. We will notify the customer in the event the order will arrive later than 2 weeks. We recommend placing orders at least 2 weeks in advance taking into consideration the 5-day reed-making process and shipping time.
We are currently using Rigotti cane for our handmade reeds with quality brass and silver staples (the same synthetic cork) for stable intonation. Our handmade reeds, made available to students, are a step up from manufactured and profiled reeds. Our Student-Pro reeds are 100% hand scraped and comparable to reeds prepared and played by professional oboists (that retail between $25-$35) but offered here at a discount price.
At Infiniti Reeds we strive to keep our reed prices on the low end of the average while staying competitive with current market prices.
